day 4: kids

its our last night at le regent montmartre.
and MGMT's kids comes on.
reminds me of a smashing time i had at brooklyn bowl.
nyc is just a radio wave away.

so i really love paris.
i love the familiar nyc energy except everywhere is rich rich history.
the architecture blows we away at every wrong turn...every time.
getting lost is not such a bad thing en paris.

and now i know the origin of hipsters...
the parisian artists from the 1800s.
[this is a terrible ipad photo of a painting by manet. a very controversial painting. google!]

and the hipster vibes live on.
the rolled up skinny jeans, shoes with no socks, the blasé look as one takes a drag from a cig loosely held between their lips, the 'just got out of bed' perfect coif...

and then there are the fashion forward bold statements.
very 5th avenue.
i mean walking through les jardins in heels and platforms.
and flip flops are a rare form.
the parisians have nice shoes.
even the casual shoes look nice.
my old navy flip flops just aren't cutting it, even as a tourist...

with all that said, i love paris.
our last full day was leisurely spent...
[l'arc de triomphe]

[spot was helping me read up on the famous arc]

[...uuugh!]

[crepe stand along champs elysee AKA 5th ave but historically cooler. big OUI.]

[at the marche aux fleurs. chinchilla.]

[...wouldn't stop harassing the poor thing...]

[they had birds there too...]

[and of course fleurs. fragrant!]

[fromagerie near jardin du luxembourg]

[he's graduated from fraises to peche]

[thus far i have napped at a champs au jardin every day...
and this is gina and spotty being bored while i snoozed.]

[an especially sunny day, aujourd'hui]

[palais du luxembourg]

[very cool urban garden exhibit]

[ecobox.]

[apple cider bath]

[crepes at berizh. i ate the 2 on the left. all of it. by myself. Gina's crepe barely makes it into the photo because I am a porc.]

[space invader numero deux]

et bonsoir.
tomorrow we are off to avignon...
i will miss paris.

bisous xx
